Invitations

The editor will invite poets to send her work. As such there are no submissions. There are invitations. (The editor likes this terminology better, as it suits her purposes.)

The editor of Curate will ask poets whose work she loves to send 15-20 poems (of any length...longer poems are quite welcome in this online format) no more than 30 pages total, in .doc or .docx format. She will choose 6-10 poems to feature on the website for 2 months. Previously published work will be considered, as long as the editor has the right to publish it online (properly attributed and linked to, of course). No more than half of the submission can be previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are fine. Just warn the editor if a specific poem is no longer available.

Don't assume that you need to fit into a specific kind of writing here. Although the editor leans more towards certain types of writing, she loves so many different kinds of poetry. If you are invited to submit, know that the editor has read your work in multiple places and loves what you do overall. You are very very welcome here.

Poets will also be asked to share a brief bio (3-5 sentences), a link to their website (if applicable), and a brief statement of their work (they do not have to provide this last one, but it's very welcome).

Note that the editor will not take unsolicited submissions. Please do not send submissions.*

*The editor will be accepting submissions in early 2019 for 1 issue to start with. More details forthcoming. In the meantime, if you think you'd be interested in submitting when this happens, the editor recommends reading the poets she features until that time.
